What will happen in the story.

Let's open the book and turn to page 1

Gran came to stay.

The children ran to meet her.

"Hooray! "said Kipper, "I love it when Gran comes to stay.She's good fun!"

奶奶回来住了。

孩子们都跑去见她。

Kipper 说：“万岁！我喜欢奶奶来，她很有趣！"

The children came running to welcome her.

They waved their hands.

Hello Gran. Nice to meet you!

Gran came to stay.

Gran brought presents for everyone.

奶奶给大家带来了礼物。

What presents did Gran bring for the family?

She gave Mum and Dad an ornament.

Kipper had some little golf clubs and Biff and Chip had a keyboard.

"Thanks Gran," said everyone.

Gran 送给爸爸妈妈一件饰品，

送给 Kipper 几根小高尔夫球杆，

给 Biff 和 Chip一个键盘。

大家都说：谢谢奶奶。

Kipper was so happy with the present.

He wanted to try now.

But Dad worried. "Not in the room!"

"I've another surprise for you," said Gran.

奶奶说：我还有一个惊喜要给你们。

Guess, What's that?

She gave the children some funny-looking parcels.

"What are they?" asked Kipper.

她给了孩子们一些有趣的包裹。

Kipper 问：它们是什么？

Do you know what are they?

"Boomerangs, "said Gran.

奶奶说：回力标。

The children were all excited.

Dad looked serious.

What did Dad think？

Oh no! I smelled troubles.

The children wanted to see how the boomerangs worked.

Gran took them outside.

孩子们想看看怎样用这个回旋镖，

奶奶把它们带到外面去了。

She threw a boomerang and it whizzed through the air.

"Look out!" shouted Gran.

她向空中抛出一只回旋镖，呼啸而过。

Oh look.

The boomerang just passed by Floppy.

Ouch! What was that?

And the boomerangs cut the flowers.

Poor flowers!

Then,

Kipper wanted to play with the golf clubs.

Gran showed him what to do.

She hit the ball, but she hit it too hard and it smashed a window.

"Oh dear, " said Gran.

Kipper 想玩高尔夫球。

奶奶告诉他该怎么做。

她击球，但打得太用力了，并且打碎了窗户。

奶奶说：哦，天哪。

Who broke the window?

Gran did.

I think Gran was more naughty than the children.

Next day, Wilf, Wilma, Nadim and Anneena came to play.

Biff and Chip showed them the keyboard.

Gran had a good idea.

"Let's have a band, " she said.

第二天，Wilf, Wilma, Nadim 和 Anneena 来玩。

Biff 和 Chip 给他们看了键盘。

奶奶有个好主意。

她说：我们组个乐队吧。

Do you like Gran's idea?

Yes, I do.

Nadim was playing the Keyboard.

Anneena and Biff were playing the flute.

Wilf was playing the pi'anica（口风琴）.

Chip was playing the drum.

Wilma was playing the Guitar.

And Kipper was playing the har'monica（口琴）.

It was a big band.

Dad came to see what happened.

Did he enjoy the music?

Not really.

He thought it was a noise.

The band made a lot of noise and the children had a good time.

乐队发出了很大的噪音,孩子们玩得很开心。

"What ever will Gran do next?" said Dad.

"She's worse than the children! " said Mum.

爸爸说：奶奶接下来会做什么？

妈妈说：她比孩子们还调皮！

Gran had promised to take the children on an outing.

She said that Nadim and Anneena could go too.

"I'll take you all to London, " she said.

奶奶答应带走孩子们出去玩。

她说 Nadim 和 Anneena 也可以去。

她说：我带你们去伦敦。

Dad showed Gran the map.

The children was ready.

What did Gran take the children to see in London?

What did Mum say to Biff?

"Look after Gran, " said Mum as they got into the car.

"Try and stop her getting into trouble."

妈妈边说他们边上了车：看着奶奶，别让她惹上麻烦。

Why did Mum ask Biff to look after Gran?

Because She thought Gran was worse than the children!

What did Biff say?

"We'll do our best, "said Biff, "but it won't be easy."

Biff 说：我们会尽力的，但并不容易。

Oops, She was just dropping her lunch box.

Would Gran and the children be ok?

When they got to London, Gran parked the car.

'Now we'll take the tube, "said Gran."It's the best way to get around."

tube 就是 underground / subway / metro 都是 “地铁” 的意思

当他们到达伦敦时，奶奶把车停好。

奶奶说：现在我们乘地铁去，这是最好的办法。

What was Gran doing?

She was folding down the top of the convertible.

It's getting dark.

Maybe a storm was coming.

Gran didn't want to leave his convertible parked in the rain with the roof open.

Look at Biff,

Opps, She dropped her lunch box again.

There were lots of people waiting on the platform.

When the train came in everyone rushed to get on.

'Now I know why it's called a tube, "Anneena said , 'everyone gets squeezed!"

squeeze 挤压

有很多人在站台上等着。

当地铁进站时，每个人都冲上去。

Anneena 说：现在我知道为什么叫管子了，每个人都被挤扁了！

What a lot of people!

But a man was still trying to squeeze in.

Oh my!

In our city, The underground train is usually very crowded during rush hours.

Ok, Where did the children and Gran go?

What famous places would they see?

What will happen next?
